Hi, I'm Alex — a property enthusiast and tech lover based in the UK.

I built Know My Postcode out of pure frustration. Like a lot of people, I found myself spending hours trying to piece together what an area was actually like before committing to a viewing. Is it safe? Are the schools good? Can I get to work easily? What's the flooding like? The information was all out there — scattered across dozens of government websites, APIs and data sources — but nobody had pulled it together in one place.

So I built it myself.

Know My Postcode pulls data from over 10 official sources — crime figures from Police UK, school data from Ofsted, flood risk from the Environment Agency, transport from TfL, air quality, house prices, local amenities and more — and turns it into a single, easy-to-read neighbourhood report in under 30 seconds. No paywalls, no sign-ups, no fluff.
